2026 Pacifica Foundation Elections

WPFW listeners, staff, and volunteers nominate and vote for the people who govern the station and the network. It starts with your membership.

Nomination Process

WPFW Local Station Board Chair Kamau Harris explains the Pacifica Elections Nomination Process.

** Important Update: From Auaja, the Pacifica Election Supervisor:

EXTENSION OF NOMINATION PHASE FOR NEW and RENEWAL MEMBERSHIPS

In order to ensure the full rights and participation of all members, Pacifica is extending the nomination period for new and renewal members who joined in June 2026 until July 11, 2026. This was recommended by Pacifica’s National Election Supervisor and is endorsed by the Executive Director and PNB Chair so that new and renewal members may have sufficient time to complete the nomination process.

Members who joined at any point prior to June 2026 still have until June 30 to make nominations and the extended nomination period for new and renewal members will not change the timing for candidate registrations or issuing ballots or conducting the election.

Any member who is interested should use Election Buddy to obtain a nomination code and link so that they can submit nominations to national and local Pacifica roles by the appropriate deadline.
