John Coltrane at 100

John Coltrane is one of the most important figures of the 20th century, and remains so today.  He changed modern music by expanding jazz harmony and structure, while his art served as a powerful spiritual and cultural voice during the Black liberation struggles of the 1960s.

Wednesday, September 23, from 5am until midnight, we pay homage to Trane’s life and legacy with A Love Supreme: John Coltrane at 100 on WPFW, building a better world one broadcast at a time!
