Community Watch and Comment is built on the conviction that a better world gets made one broadcast at a time. Host David Rabin came to WPFW in the mid-1990s while working for Pacifica Network News in the same building, and his first contact with the station was Askia Muhammad walking the offices handing out birthday cake. He has since become known for high-impact interviews with figures who shaped American history and advocacy, among them Ralph Nader, Tuskegee Airman Charles McGee, Freedom Rider Charles Person, and author Richard Rothstein. The program gives listeners essential information and context that mainstream outlets rarely provide.
