A musicologist and blues historian, she reaches out to iconic artists directly — often at her own expense — to keep the program strong and the connections alive. Her broadcasts trace the music’s lineage while making room for the artists sustaining it now, offering DMV listeners an hour grounded in scholarship, respect, and genuine love for the form.
